I've never had any experience with distance learning in my K-12 education. Even in person, most of my educational materials have been on paper so I don't have any opinions on which technologies I prefer or any information on their effectiveness. I have, however, heard a lot of complaints about distance or online learning and how it is more difficult for students to learn that way, so I don't really want to experience any of those resources. I know that I learn best in person and while I think these technologies were extremely necessary for a lot of people.
Open educational resources are online classroom resources that are public domain, or in other words, their creative commons license allows others to use their work. I found an article on open education resources by Educause that links websites that gather them such as OER Commons or The World Digital Library. It also links other articled by them that provide more information on open educational resources. The articles cover everything you need to know about OER, from content to policies. It also links other articles, studies, papers, reports and more that cover the more technical aspects of open educational resources.

I learned a lot working with MS PowerPoint for Assignment 4. I'd never made a presentation using this platform, but I found it easy to navigate and figure out as I worked. I liked how easy it was to record over the presentation, and I think this is a tool that can be extremely helpful for teachers, especially with the notes it allows you to put in. It was difficult to create the presentation with the idea that it should be able to be used in a real classroom setting, and I think I could've done that better. I also think I could've done better with the graphics like the number line if I was more comfortable with all the functions of PowerPoint.
